#MayisForMaker 2017

Sunday Stash and May is For Makers

Last year Lindsey Rhodes from LR Stitched, started a movement, May is For Makers Month.  We celebrate our Indie Makers buy purchasing patterns or books from the talented designers in our industry. It is a celebration of the creativity, hard work and acknowledgment of the artists in our industry. By purchasing from each other this way, we are joining together and supporting each other in our sewing endeavors.

I have had my eye on this pattern for a while now and have been waiting for May is For Makers Month 2017 to purchase it. Yvonne Fuchs @quiltingjetgirl.com  designed this beautiful pattern.

Isn’t it fun?
This is what I love about it;
The shapes, and how they work together to provide the design an upbeat flow.
I love abstract art.
It uses two colors. I’ve never made a quilt with two colors, much less a quilt with all solids.
Making this quilt will be exploring new territory for me. I’m excited about that.
And, I love, love, love that it is called Oh, Happy Day!!
Can’t wait to show you what I pick up next week.
Today I am linking up with Sunday Stash @MolliSparkles.
Happy Quilting and have a great week.

      Thanks Yvonne. I have always loved this pattern. I have a few ideas. But I may not get to it until the beginning of 2018. I am so booked up with quilts and writing articles.
      Not to mention 2 1/2 days of work each day at the library. But I’ll get it done.
