During late fall, when the weather gets cold and dry, the skin on my hands and elbows gets dry, itchy and cracked. It can become rather painful too. (I feel as though I am already sounding like a commercial, sorry).
I need my hands to sew. We all need our hands to sew, right? Those little cracks can bleed, and I don’t want to get blood on my sewing. It’s not easy to sew with band-aids on my hands and fingers. What’s quilter or sewist to do?
NeoStrata for Problem Dry Skin Cream is a great solution. I promise, I’m not getting paid for writing this or receiving free products. I’ve actually had this condition since early childhood and tried many prescriptions and over the counter products. When I was growing up my mom tried everything to help me. She felt sad when she saw me so uncomfortable and itchy. We visited many dermatologists.
About 10 years ago, this product was recommended to me, and I can’t tell you how great it is. It’s thick, and I use it twice a day. Definitely at night before sleep, because it is a bit thick and a little greasy. But, it works. Really works!!
I already started using it before the cold, dry weather began, as a preventative measure. And, no dryness, pain or cracks in my skin. Best of all, it’s not painful to sew. And one container, lasts for at least one entire winter.
I know I’m not the only one out there who has this condition, so I am happy to share this product, and hope it’s a good solution for anyone who could benefit by it.
Next post – back to fabrics and quilting, hopefully before the end of the week.
Have a great week and Happy Quilting!!
And, don’t forget to vote tomorrow!!
