WIP Maggie Jane’s Baby Quilt

I am making a lot of progress on Maggie Jane’s quilt. She was born on July 1st and am happy to share, she is a healthy, beautiful baby. Mom and Dad are doing great. Her grandparents, also my cousins, are in love with her.

The colors of the baby’s room are lavender and gray. I decided to go for a scrappy nine patch pattern. Maggie’s mom loves art and my sense is that she will love finding some of the little surprises in these fabrics, which I will share in detail, during the big reveal.

Each finished block is 9 1/2″ by 9 1/2″. Both mom and dad love music. Maggie’s dad is actually in the music business. So there are quiet a few prints with music notes in them.

All the blocks are squared up and ready to sew together. The first row is already finished. I am hoping to have the top together by the end of Sunday.

Today I am linking up with Sew Fresh Quilts at Let’s Be Social.

Hope everyone’s having a great summer. And please leave a comment in the comment box about what you are working on. I would love to hear about it.

Check back on Friday, July 15 for a special quilting surprise that will post once a month here. It’s a lot of fun, and I hope you enjoy it!!

Happy Quilting!!

I love comments and read every one of them! 🙂
