For a Gray and Lavender Baby Girl’s Quilt

In about 5 months my cousin and her husband will be welcoming their first child into their home. I love Sharon and Mike and am so happy for them. It’s a girl!!

I spoke to Sharon’s mom, Ellen who is my first cousin, and she gave me the colors of the baby’s room; gray and lavender. I love anything purple, so this will be a fun baby quilt to make. I also found out Sharon loves Winnie-the-Pooh, so I will be sneaking in a few characters here and there into the top, or using a fabric that features the characters on the back of the quilt.

These are some of the gray fabrics I pulled from my stash so far. I don’t have a pattern in mind yet.

I’m not so happy with my lavender fabrics.

I ordered a spring bundle from Fabricworm, which I know will work well with these gray fabrics. And hopefully, I may be able to use a few of the above lavender fabrics, depending on the pattern.

I haven’t done any sewing this week due to shoulder surgery. I am just beginning to come out of the fog of anesthesia and a bad reaction from it.
Today I did some sewing on the machine, and fortunately have very little pain.

Today I am linking up with Molli Sparkles, Sunday Stash. I absolutely love seeing Molli exploring and enjoying the U.S., and the west coast.

Happy Quilting!!

I love comments and read every one of them! 🙂
