Sew Mama Sew Semi-Annual Give-a-Way

Happy Holidays!!

Beginning Wednesday December 9th through, Sunday, December 13th, I will be giving away two jelly rolls, to two lucky winners.

Each of these are 1930’s reproduction jelly Rolls, with 41 strips in them. Each strip is 44″ x 2.5″.

All 41 strips below.

.

Close up of the strips in 3 photos below.

All you need to do to enter, is to leave a comment in my comment box below
telling me what your favorite holiday dessert is. It could be a certain kind of holiday cookie, a cake, a flavored bread pudding, a candy; anything can qualify, if it’s sweet, for a dessert. Yup, it’s that easy.

To get you going I will share mine. Truth be told, last year I tried something new, and now it’s a tie that I will have to break this year. My original favorite is Rachel Ray’s Panettone Bread Pudding. Then last year I made Giada De Laurentiis’s Chocolate Salami. Both are awesome!!

If you want to get a second chance to win, please share your thoughts with me about this. Originally the mission of this blog was show-and-tell regarding the quilts I am working on, finishing and supplies and tutorials that relate to them.

I seem to be writing more stories about quilters, new products, book reviews, etc., which eats into my sewing time, but that’s okay because I love writing and journalism too. I am currently a Free-Lance Feature Contributor to Make Modern e-zine, a fabulous online magazine from Australia. Would you prefer to see more of my sewing and quilting work, or more blog posts about what is going on in the quilting marketplace? Maybe 50/50?

I will announce the two winners on this blog Sunday night by 9:00 PM. PLEASE leave me your e-mail address in the comment box if you are a no reply blogger so I can reach you if you win. If we can’t connect in 48 hours after that, I will select a new winner. This give-a-way is open to those in U.S. only.

Many other quilt bloggers and crafters are participating in the Sew Mama Sew Give-a-Way Day!! By clicking this link, you will be directed to the Sew Mama Sew blog page, where you can check out other bloggers and their give-a-ways, that include handmade gifts, sewing or craft supplies.

Good luck and enjoy exploring all these exciting opportunities and blogs!!

I love to read everyone’s comments and respond to everyone by e-mail. However, during these biannual give-a-ways I may not be able to get back to each person.

Hi Anne! I love 30s repros and was wondering if those were a certain line or a mix?

My favorite Christmas dessert is my step-mom's Lebkuchen. She only makes them once a year and they are so good! They have to "age" so she makes the dough around Thanksgiving and makes the cookies a couple weeks before Christmas. I haven't ever tried to make them because they are expensive to make; I just enjoy eating them!

Haven't heard of chocolate salami before. May just have to see what that is all about!

    Merry Christmas!

If you are doing new and exciting quilting, I'd like to see that. But I don't need to see tutorials or detailed notes about every step you've taken to make the quilt and 47 progress notes along the way, along with 12 photos of the finished quilt blowing in the wind. I do love hearing about new designers and books and fantastic quilts others are making. Not necessarily the same 87 photos of a major quilt show that every blogger who has attended posts, but an in depth look at those really special things that strike you. I do want to hear about your own work, too, so please don't misunderstand me. I'd like a nice balance.
