Hand Needle Pack and Machine Needle Pack by Colonial Needle – Product Review

I recently tried two new products that were introduced at the International Quilt Market, this fall by Colonial Needle, which I’m really excited to share with you.

One is the Hand Needle Pack II, and the other is the Machine Needle Pack II. Both help to make sewing portable and more convenient. If you don’t have a lot of space for quilting and sewing, these packs are a great solution. Ideal for on-the-go sewers, or for quick and easy storage.

They are also perfect for travelling with your needles, such as; taking to retreats/classes, sewing days with your guild, or sewing at the pool or beach. I could keep going, but I’d rather show you photos of the products, and you can see for yourself!!

Hand Needle Pack II – Inside

I love the way it keeps everything organized by type of needle, and size. And you can get a few needles in any square. Four size 9 sharps fit in that spot.

And the same is true for that universal needle, shown above. You can also put pins in these packs. (See the area below the last machine needle that reads “Multi-Point”).

Each pack measures 6.75″ X 5″. They open and close easily with Velcro, and are machine washable and air dry very quickly. (I gave it a try).

The bottom of each has pockets. The Hand Pack has two long pockets at the bottom that can hold; items up to 6.75″ X 4″ in the upper pocket, and a lower pocket that is 6.75″ X 2.5″. Love that 🙂

The Machine Needle Pack II has eight small pockets, Approximately 1.5″ X 1.5″.

I put a bobbin in each. What a great feature.

Colonial Needle has generously offered to give-a-way one Hand Needle Pack II and one Machine Needle Pack II.

What an awesome idea! I really like the place to the needles where they are labeled and the extra little pouches. I like them both but my favorite would have to be the hand pack because it has larger pockets.

Both are beautiful – it would make a great gift for a knitter!
