Quilting During a Renovation

As I am quilting and blogging, we are getting our condo ready to put up for sale. We really need to do a little more than sprucing up, after living here for over 20 years, and very little upgrading. We painted and put down hardwood floors, but that’s about it.

I thought back over the years, we were always so busy, and just never had the time for this. I had three jobs at one point. My husband was working. Taking care of our parents and three step-children.

And there were lots of fun on vacations and just hanging out in the living room laughing and watching TV. I can’t even count how many bar-b-ques, dinners and holiday celebrations we’ve enjoyed here. A lot of love and a lot of living happened in this one little condo. And we can’t forget the cats that lived here, and still do.

Aside from them, we fostered over 40 cats and kittens, while getting them ready for adoption at the SPCA in Briarcliff.

The master bath is the worst looking room. This is just after it was gutted.

It didn’t take long, but the noise was really loud. You can’t really see how big the bathroom is. The roll of blue tape in the center marks where the center of the bathtub once was.

That’s the new tub with our contractor standing in it. You can get an idea of the size of the tub and shower from this photo. But not the rest of the bathroom.

I have a baby quilt to finish tomorrow during Day 2. Let’s see how that will go.

I love comments and answer each one via e-mail

Good luck staying productive during the noise and construction, and I hope that your condo sells quickly.

It is always scary when rooms get ripped down to the studs, but so exciting to watch as a whole new room comes together.
